My Approach
While much of my clinical experience centers on adolescent development, this period of identity formation ~ and the emotional work done in supporting that essential journey ~ is the work we do over and over as we transition through each phase of life. From adolescence to young adulthood, from college to workplace, our identity evolves, deepens and becomes more authentic if we allow it to do so.
With over 20 years of experience working in private clinical practice and school based counseling, my passion is working with individuals and their family systems (including workplace and chosen families!). Clinical support looks and feels differently for all, but at its core, my practice is rooted in deep listening and empathy.
Using an integrative approach of cognitive, behavioral and psychodynamic techniques, collaboration is key for a healthy therapeutic experience ~ whether with an individual, a family or a community of shared learners/thinkers. Goals within our work together might include: strengthening relationships in your life/your work; greater effectiveness around communicating needs and boundaries; feeling increased agency and vitality that allows you to live according to your values; and finding directionality and purpose as you explore your next growth point.
